Illinois Club Baseball

The Illinois Club Baseball Team is a student-run organization that offers University of Illinois students an opportunity to play baseball at the collegiate level. The club baseball team allows players to improve their baseball skills and techniques in a fun, yet competitive, environment. Each player shows a full commitment to practices, games, off-season training, meetings, fundraising, etc. Our mission is to offer students a social experience that promotes good sportsmanship, leadership, cooperation, and friendship.

The Illinois Club Baseball team is a member of the National Club Baseball Association (NCBA) and competes in the Great Lakes South Region. Each year, the Illini take on conference foes: Illinois State University, Purdue University, Ball State University, University of Notre Dame, and Indiana Univeristy. The winner of each Great Lakes conference advances to the Great Lakes Regional, with the regional champion advancing to the NCBA World Series.

Illinois Club Baseball has been very successful since its inception over a decade ago. Our team has made the NCBA World Series 8 times, and won the NCBA National Championship in 2019. Tryouts are generally held the first week of September. Over the past few years, we have had players of all different baseball backgrounds tryout, including high school players, junior college transfers, and Division 1 transfers. Information on tryouts will be posted on our website once the school year begins, and we will also have a booth for Quad Day. Please come find us to introduce yourself and receive information on tryouts.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact any of our club officers. Their information is located under the "Contacts" tab.

Thank you,

Go Illini!
